An overview

Depression is one of most common and world's oldest ailments. Millions of its sufferers can be found here and there. It is a so wide spread condition and effects people just like common cold. Its prevalence in America is as much that 1 among 20 Americans suffer from it.
Depression is the most awful condition of today’s era. Every body can vulnerable of it during any period of life. Depression victims are so despair that they become socially inactive and feel lack of interest in routine life. They feel alone rather to enjoy events, love and social gatherings. These patients are unable to experience pleasure.


Depression symptoms are ranging from mild to severe and they can be as severe that a man feels too sad and unenthusiastic and sometimes he wants to commit suicide and it is such a horrible stage that ever experienced.
Symptoms include;
  • Sleep disturbances that can be insomnia or excessive sleepiness.
  • Mood liability like feelings of anger and rage.
  • Body and muscular discomfort, excessive fatigue, backache and headache.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Disturbed feeling or feeling of worthlessness, helplessness and exhaustion.
  • Loss of interest in hobbies and other social activities.

  • Avoid negative thinking and try to think positively about people and events.
  • Keep your mind active with plenty of interesting work and spend your leisure time in hobbies.

  • Music will have a powerful effect on mood.
  • Avoid taking alcohol caffeine and processed food.
  • Use color therapy for instance means use of blue color gives, relaxing, peaceful and calming effects and Green color also gives soothing and relaxing effect to mind as well as body.
